PATIENT TESTIMONIALS

I was a guest at a Desmond Day yesterday in Gloucestershire. It was amazing. I was diagnosed as Type 2 Diabetic 9 years ago and my education was 2 1/2 hours. Things have changed so much and I found this day so valuable with all the new information. I was not able to obtain a folder (they were only for the newly diagnosed). How can I obtain one, please?
The two girls running the day were brilliant.Thankyou.

Congratulations to Sue and Cilla for a great Desmond course/seminar yesterday at GWH Academy: well-presented, well paced, good balance of facts & fun. Serious matters dealt with securely and compassionately, questions answered, minds put at rest.

I'm sure we all left with a better understanding of Type 2 Diabetes and a clear understanding of our role in its management. Basically - diet, exercise and medication.
Whilst Type 2 Diabetes presents us with great challenges it also presents us all with many opportunities and compelling reasons for a complete change of lifestyle. Primarily we have a realisation that with some discipline, the help of medical professionals and a clear understanding of the biological mechanisms at work we can lead near normal, long and fulfilling lives. - Hugh Milsom
