Overview

The structured patient education programme in Glasgow and Clyde is an integral part of the Long Term Conditions Strategy. In addition the programme aims to meet the targets set by the Diabetes Framework Action Plan by ensuring that every newly diagnosed patient is given access to an education programme. There are 24 educators in the Glasgow and Clyde area offering courses to approximately 3000 newly diagnosed people per year.
