Here at the DESMOND Head Office we have been working tirelessly over recent months, not only to upscale our roll-out of the MyDESMOND Type 2 diabetes programme and support local providers in doing this, we have also launched virtual group programmes for our different modules.

For all existing Educators and local providers we have now made available guidance and supporting resources to allow delivery to happen virtually. This allows DESMOND providers from across the UK and Ireland to continue to meet their targets and keep their waiting lists down in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic and the future impact that this might have on face-to-face delivery.

If you are an Educator or part of a local DESMOND provider team and have not received our recent updates, please get in touch via desmondnationalprogramme@uhl-tr.nhs.uk and we will ensure you have everything you need to get started. To support you with this, we have launched the DESMOND Academy with a range of workshops and documentation. Get in touch via desmondweb@uhl-tr.nhs.uk for the latest timetable.

If you are new to DESMOND and would be interested in finding out more please email desmondnationalprogramme@uhl-tr.nhs.uk and we will happily talk you through our new and exciting diabetes management and prevention education packages, and how you can join the 1100+ Educators delivering DESMOND programmes to those with or at risk of Type 2 diabetes in their areas.
